I'm nearing 60 hours with Elden Ring Runes and, frankly I'm still not sure clue what's going on in the story. As with previous Souls game, this lore FromSoftware was created with Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is a mess of nouns that are proper and vague speculations. One thing I know, however, is that a boss known for his title of General Radhan is, in my opinion, the best player in Souls. He may even be the greatest Souls character of all time.
Okay, whoa, be calm. I'm sure that's an enormous claim! However, please don't pressure me all at once to support the overwhelming fans' favorite characters such as Dark Souls pseudo-mascot Solaire of Astora or Patches the universe-spanning character from previous FromSoftware games. While all of the Souls characters are fantastic, General Radahn stands in a class above the rest, literally as well as in a metaphorical sense, thanks his unique style. Elden Ring mixes silly, touching, and awe-inspiring details from his past with a unique boss fight that ends up drastically changing the world of the game.
By the time you come across Radahn within buy Elden Ring Items, he's a pale facsimile of the brilliant demi-god-like general who had command of the wartime army following the destruction of the main phenomenon. Radahn was previously brought low during battle by his half-sister Malenia the Severed. They were suffering from the Scarlet Rot, a sickness that makes its victims mindless ghouls with only one desire that is all-encompassing to devour every thing they see. Therefore, Radahn wanders corpse-strewn battlefields on the back of a much-too-small horse (whose name is apparently Leonard) looking forward to the day someone strong enough can end his misery.
