U4GM - How These 21 Fallout 76 Caps Routes Changed My Early Game

As a long-time fan of the Fallout series, diving into Fallout 76 was both exciting and overwhelming. Caps felt painfully scarce at first, especially with vendors offering enticing weapons and plans that were just out of reach. That all changed once I learned how to efficiently run Caps farming routes. Here are 21 routes and tricks that completely reshaped my early game — and they might just change yours too.

1. Whitespring Resort Vendor Circuit

This place is packed with vendor bots. I made it a routine to loot junk from nearby areas, scrap it, and sell it here. Easy, reliable income.

2. Camden Park Daily Quests

Simple, repeatable quests that reward Caps and sometimes even helpful loot. Early on, I squeezed every bit of value out of this location.

3. Charleston Capitol Building

Super Mutants roam the area, and they drop a solid mix of loot and gear to scrap or sell. I always walked away with some extra Caps after a short loop.

4. Morgantown High School

Lots of containers, scorched enemies, and junk to grab. Bonus: nearby vendors at the train station made it a perfect cash-out spot.

5. Flatwoods Vendor & Quest Hub

The early quests in Flatwoods are easy to complete and offer Caps. Combine them with loot runs around the church and tavern for maximum efficiency.

6. Train Stations – Especially Morgantown & Sutton

Train stations have vendors that’ll buy your loot and usually offer better rates. I hit these frequently while exploring nearby locations.

7. Charleston Trainyard

Filled with ghouls and lootable containers. Good XP, good loot. Sell what you don’t need and watch your Caps stack up.

8. Poseidon Energy Plant Event

This public event pays out well and is often active. Once I got the hang of it, it became a staple in my farming rotation.

9. Toxic Valley Treasure Maps

These treasure maps often lead to stashes containing weapons or gear worth decent Caps. Great for players who don’t want constant combat.

10. Junk Farming in the Forest

Simple things like typewriters, fans, and phones can be scrapped for high-value components. Vendors love that stuff.

11. Moonshiner’s Shack & Moonshine Jamboree

This event pays in Acid and sometimes Caps. Selling the excess materials after scrapping the drops was a sneaky way to make money.

12. Free States Bunkers

High-value loot spots with less competition. Great for looting and flipping items to vendors. Ideal for quieter runs.

13. Scorched Earth Aftermath Loot

I wasn’t ready to solo it, but tagging along helped me get some powerful loot. Selling or scrapping what I didn’t need kept the Caps flowing.

14. Watoga Underground

Good for combat lovers. I looted combat armor pieces and energy weapons that sold well. Bonus: fun challenge.

15. Grafton Monster Runs

Hunting these big guys netted me solid gear drops, many of which I didn’t need and could flip for Caps. A rare find, but worth chasing.

16. Enclave Events

Once you unlock them, these missions are gold mines. Great payouts, XP, and gear — just sell off what you don’t want.

17. Public Event: “Radiation Rumble”

One of the best events for loot and XP. The legendary enemies often drop rare gear. It’s also a great place to pick up cheap Fallout 76 Items from trading players.

18. Super Mutant Camps Near West Tek

Always packed with enemies. Easy to farm, and you’ll leave with bags full of loot to sell or scrap.

19. Raider Outposts Post-Wastelanders

They buy loot too. I used to roleplay a bit as a scavenger trader, going from settlement to outpost just to offload my gear.

20. Camp Vendor Setup

Once I got a vending machine going at my CAMP, players would regularly buy my extra gear. That passive income was game-changing. Sites like U4GM helped me gauge fair prices when I wasn't sure.

21. Trade with Other Players

Bartering with real players often led to better deals than selling to NPC vendors. Learning the trade scene and knowing where to get the best items — like checking the best site to buy Fallout 76 Caps — gave me an advantage early on.

These Caps routes didn’t just give me more buying power — they helped me understand the rhythm of Fallout 76. Once I wasn’t constantly broke, I could focus on building my CAMP, completing high-level quests, and experimenting with new builds. If you’re starting out and want to boost your earnings, give these routes a try. And when you're looking to restock or rearm, resources like U4GM make it easier to get cheap Fallout 76 Items without draining your time.
